I have been an independent consultant for 3 years. Before that I worked  for the Social Services Inspectorate and Audit Commission Joint Review Team for just over 2 years. 

Over the last 5 years I have worked in over 30 local authorities in England and Wales. This means I am able to draw on different examples of good practice and have access to a wide range of contacts from whom I can seek advice.

Prior to working with the Joint Review Team I was head of Strategic Commissioning in Camden. I have continued to focus on strategic commissioning since that time. This means I have over 13 years experience of developing my ideas and approach to commissioning.

I have also worked as a manager in an Education Directorate and as a Youth Worker.

I spend as much of my spare time as possible walking or body-boarding in Cornwall. I’ve shared information on some of my favourite places in the section Where to Go and Things to Do.
