For over 20 years I have been involved in devising and facilitating training events.

Initially I was involved in training part-time youth workers and following completion of a year long Training the Trainers course I was involved in training full time youth workers.

My interest in training and developing training materials has continued throughout my career. In the 1980s I produced training materials for youth workers, This included a handbook on Leadership Training for the Commonwealth Secretariat and training materials for the Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme International Division.

During 2002 and 2003 I was one of the trainers employed by Ford Partnership Management to deliver the Transforming Youth Work training programme for youth service managers. This was funded by the Department for Education and Skills.

I have facilitated a number of workshops and been a guest speaker at conferences.

I also work with staff teams problem solving and identifying solutions and action plans.
